My Story
SHORT STORY - I was a high school drop out and became a teen Mum at the young age of 16. I have a Cert II in Business and that is the end of my extremely short list of qualifications. Turns out to build a rockin fragrance business all you need is determination - something that isn't really taught in senior school or university. I have been a Scentsy Consultant since August of 2014 and I LOVE my business. I am with my kids when I want, I earn free trips and cash bonuses and I get recognised often with awesome rewards! Scentsy is the best.
Long Story -
I met my hubby when I was 20 and we got married and completed our family. I have worked at so many different places! Bars, Bakeries, Mortgage Broker office, Fish and Chip shop. The list goes on! I hated the fact I had to work away from my hubby and kids always at nights when I was exhausted and for entire days on most weekends! Ugh - the things we do to contribute to the family income am I right??
Fast forward to 2014 and a fellow school Mum invited me to a Scentsy Party. A Scentsy party? What is Scentsy? So I googled. Black Raspberry Vanilla, Aussie Plum, Bora Bora Blossom.... these fragrance descriptions jumped out at me! I was excited but also a little heartbroken as I knew I couldn't purchase anything because we were struggling to get by on my hubby's income. I hadn't worked for a while as our last baby was still under 2 and never slept. (story for another time!) Anyways the website I had found was in USA prices and my mind was too sleep deprived to do the exchange.
I went to the party and was blown away! Blown away by the scents, by the prices being so low for what seemed to be incredible quality and especially blown away that the consultant only chatted to us for less than 10 minutes! She invited us to talk to her one on one about what we wanted to learn more about. CAN IT REALLY BE THAT EASY TO BE A CONSULTANT?? My mind was racing. I think I can go back to work! I placed a small order, booked a party and joined all within the next 14 days.
My husband was so hesitant, he is a numbers man and we really didn't have the $152 for the kit. But there are no cancellation fees so he said you have to earn that $152 back ASAP. Oh boy, did I ever! What a ride it has been since.
I've earnt free trips to Bali, Caribbean Cruise for 2, Singapore trip for 2 and a Port Douglas trip for 2. We have had people from all over the world join our 'Building the Dream Party Team' and we love watching Scentsy bless so many other people's lives!
I have never had to go and be employed again - I am my BOSS! The kids are sick, it's no stress. I'm sick - I stay on the couch guilt free and can still get some work done from my phone.
